Preparatory Enrollment Program
The Preparatory Enrollment Program is a bridge program for Rhode Island first-generation high school students – supporting their admission to 51³Ô¹ÏÍø and their development as a 51³Ô¹ÏÍø student. First-generation high school seniors can apply to the program via 51³Ô¹ÏÍø's Common Application. The deadline to apply is February 1 of senior year.
Project ExCEL
Project ExCEL is an academic initiative at 51³Ô¹ÏÍø to expand college access for talented bilingual students. In close partnership with high school counselors, Project ExCEL enrolls bilingual students with established academic success, and provides them with the support needed to pursue and achieve a 51³Ô¹ÏÍø degree.
Foster Care Youth Scholarship Program
Our program aims to provide transformative educational opportunities for Foster Care youth by providing a pathway to admission, academic and personal success, and degree completion at 51³Ô¹ÏÍø.
Pathways Program – Center for First Generation Social Work Student Success
Our Pathways Program helps you apply to and complete your Social Services - Social Work Associates Degree at CCRI and transfer to 51³Ô¹ÏÍø to complete a Social Work undergraduate and graduate degree (BSW and MSW).
Programs that Support You Before, During, and After College
Upward Bound Program
The 51³Ô¹ÏÍø Upward Bound Program serves low-income, first-generation high school students - assisting them in graduating from high school and completing a college degree. Upward Bound at 51³Ô¹ÏÍø – the only Upward Bound location in RI.
Student Support Services
The primary goal of 51³Ô¹ÏÍø's Student Support Services is to assist first-generation 51³Ô¹ÏÍø students in completing their 51³Ô¹ÏÍø degree. Student Support Services offerings are broad - guiding students as whole individuals and meeting their varied needs.
McNair Scholars Program
The McNair Scholars Program provides guidance, resources and support to first-generation junior year 51³Ô¹ÏÍø students who want to pursue a graduate or PhD program. McNair Scholars also pursue an individual research project, and often an accompanying internship, under the guidance of a faculty member.
